Fritz, nolan picNolan A. Fritz was born to the late Harold and Dora Fritz on September 25, 1930 in Freistatt, Missouri. Nolan graduated from Monett High School in Monett,Missouri where he met his loving wife of 50 years, the late Donna Duncan. They were married on July 15, 1951 in Biloxi, Mississippi.  Nolan honorably served in the United States Air Force before going to work for American National Insurance Company, where he had an impressive career of more than 50 years being recognized for numerous awards and distinctions.

Nolan enjoyed being a member of the Sertoma Club of Tulsa, Oklahoma for many years and he was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, most recently an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Edmond, Ok. He also took pleasure in playing golf, baseball games, fishing, working in the yard, playing cards with friends, his Tuesday morning Men’s Bible Study, casino trips with his daughter and son in law, traveling, and spending time with friends and family; especially his grandchildren.  Nolan is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Dora and his brother Orbin. His beloved wife and mother of his children, Donna Duncan and his wife of four years, the late Lela Heseman.

He is survived by two brothers; Evert (Julia) of Monett, Missouri and Delmer (Sue) of Hutchison, Kansas. His two children; Teresa Fritz (John Combs) of Edmond, Ok and Michael Fritz of Dallas, Tx. Six grandchildren; Tricia Ruud (Brian), Kathryn Jones (Braden), Sara and Ryan Fritz, and Grant and Emily Sewell. Two Step-Grandchildren; Sarah Combs (Lauren) and Wes Combs. Special friends; Bruce Sewell and Katherine Vance of Wagoner, Ok and Yvonne Butterfield of Edmond, Ok.

Nolan was a good Christian man full of personality. His wit and generosity of spirit were something to be admired. Always the gentleman, he made our lives a better place and he will be deeply missed.  Funeral Services to celebrate Nolan’s life will be held at 10 am, Saturday, July 20, 2013 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Edmond, Ok. Interment at 4:30 pm, Saturday at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery in Monett, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the Agape Fund at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Edmond, OK.
