Alma Ruth Ferrell was born on March 26, 1964 in Amarillo, Texas, and was adopted December 18, 1970 by Paxson and Opal Fae Gordon of Beaver, Oklahoma. Alma was a special needs child and was brought into the loving home where she grew up, graduating from Beaver High School. She was blessed to be able to work at the Beaver County Workshop for a number of years before moving to Woodward to live in a group home. It was here that she met Jimmy Burgess and they would later marry and reside in Fort Supply. Later she would have to move back into a group home in Weleetka, Oklahoma due to her health. As her health deteriorated, she would eventually move into the Pioneer Nursing Home until her death. As a child she loved walking and studying the phone book. She was baptized into her lord’s family at the Beaver Church of Christ.

She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by her; Parents, Paxson and Opal Fae Gordon of Edmond, Oklahoma, Siblings, Norma Bridgwater, McAlester, Oklahoma, Larry Gordon, Edmond, Oklahoma, Linda Peters, McAlester, Oklahoma, Sylvan Gordon, Edmond, Oklahoma. Brothers Mike Brown, Pat Brown, James Adair, many nieces and a nephew, great nieces and great nephews.
