Susan M. Lamb

1958-2016

29Susan, our angel, went to be with her heavenly Father Saturday, March 26, 2016, surrounded by her family after an 8 year courageous battle with cancer.    Originally from Oklahoma, she was born March 31, 1958 to the late Ronald Saum of San Jacinto, California and Marilyn Culbreath of Edmond, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Moore High School in 1976 and worked many years in the banking industry before relocating to Mountain View, California, where she met and married the love of her life, Jeff Crothers.  Passionate about her job, Susan spent the next 18 years working for the California Society of CPAs and retired in 2015 due to her illness.

She had a passion for travelling with family and friends and was known as the “travel planner” for family vacations.

She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend who was loved by many who knew her.   She was full of life and had a ready smile for anyone she encountered.

She leaves behind her husband, Jeff Crothers, of Mountain View, California,  daughter, Shannah Lamb, of Mountain View, California; mother, Marilyn Culbreath, of  Edmond, Oklahoma; sister and brother-in-law, Tracey and Hank Varacchi of  Edmond, Oklahoma; nephew, Brian Varacchi and wife, Colby Varacchi, of Oklahoma City; nephew Milton Munro and wife, Morgan Munro of Blanchard, Oklahoma; niece, Lindsey Varacchi Montgomery and husband, John Montgomery, Edmond, Oklahoma; two aunts, Pattie Edelen and husband, Jimmy Edelen, of Oklahoma City and Marie Terry, of Edmond, OK; several cousins, great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Oma Dozier; father, Ronald Saum; sister, Kelly Lynn Day and step father, Roy H. Culbreath.

Our Susan lived well, laughed often and loved much.  She will be missed eternally.

  1. Susan and I became friends years ago when our girls were growing up. And even though we haven’t seen each other in a very long time, I always considered her to be my friend! She was such a special person with a Big Heart! My heart is broken that she is no longer on this earth with us. God has called her home now. My Thoughts and prayers are with Shannah, Marilyn, Tracey, Jeff and all the family! May God Bless you and comfort you during this difficult time!

    I am in shock.
    Love you, Shirley

Kelley was my best friend and when she left us, Susan stepped right in and embraced me like a sister which brought me so much comfort! She made me smile everytime we were together! I love each one of you very much!
