Sondra “Sandy” Anne Marks Crosby

Jul 22, 1940 – Apr 7, 2014

Crosby, Sondra pic cropSandy was born in Dallas, TX, the only child of William and Dorothy Marks. She graduated from John Marshall High School in 1958 and went on to become a terrific mother, a great tennis coach and a good friend to many people and animals. Sandy’s deep love for God’s furry creatures led her to volunteer at the Zoo and to lovingly care for many dogs and cats over the years-hers and other people’s.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and her son, Steve. She is survived by her son, Keith. Sandy was not one to complain about life’s trials. She will be remembered for her ready smile, her frequent laugh and her upbeat positive attitude; A good example for us all. We will miss her.

Thank you Dr. Boggs. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society or the Oklahoma City Zoo.

A celebration of Sandy’s well-lived life will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park at 3:00 pm on Thursday, April 17, 2014. Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond.
