Wilma Dell Cooper 74 of Edmond, Oklahoma died on June 25, 2020 from two very rare neurological conditions.  She was the second daughter born to Wesley (Ike) and Marie Bottoms at Checotah, Oklahoma on August 26, 1945.  She grew up in Onapa and Talihina, Oklahoma, graduated high school at Talihina and went on to complete her BS in Business Administration Education at Northeastern State University at Tahlequah, Oklahoma.

Her faith in God directed her life.  She loved a good laugh and family and friends mattered most to her.  Wilma loved to give wrapped gifts to others, especially all the children in her family during holidays and on their birthdays.  She was a very devoted mother-thoughtful and caring.  She played basketball in high school and was the OKC Thunders number one fan.

  1. This lovely lady and long time friend will never be forgotten. We got to know each other in the 1990’s through work. She was my customer and came to visit our Company several times in Ca. After l retired l made several trips to Okla to visit family and always spent time with Wilma.
Jess, she was blessed to have you as well as you were blessed with such an amazing mom.
Love to you and the family.

  2. Wilma was my neighbor at one time, we became good friends then and our friendship continue after Wilma moved. Wilma and Jess are some of the Best People, I have known. We have had many garage sales together, and always had a Great Time. Wilma loves pretty dishes and crystal and so do I. I would run into her a lot at Hopefully Yours, getting a pretty glass or bowl or dish. She was a very kind person , as her son is also. I was very lucky to have Wilma in my life . I will miss her very much. I am glad she will be in no more pain. She didn’t deserve that . May Peace be with Wilma , Jess and Margie and her Family.

  3. Wilma was my classmate and friend for at least 60 years. We attended school at Talihina and remained friends forever. Wilma loved to have a good time and laughed a lot. One thing I will always remember about Wilma is that she always ate dessert first. She said it was the best part of the meal and she definitely wanted to have room for it. Wilma raised a good son who took wonderful care of her during her illness and death. She will be missed by all who loved her. I hope you are dancing barefoot in heaven my friend. Love you always. RIP in peace.
