Lollar, WillieWillie V. Lollar was born to Willie John and Vera Huddleston Jackson on June 20, 1920 in Swans Chapel, Jones County, Texas. She died Thursday, March 14, 2013 in Oklahoma City, OK.

She graduated from Avoca High School, Avoca, Texas in 1939. She married Willard A. Lollar on April 16, 1940 in Haskell, Texas. She and her husband lived in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area for many years, where she worked as a cosmetic consultant. They moved to Memphis, TX in 1994. After Mr. Lollars death in 2003, Mrs. Lollar moved to the Tealridge Retirement Center, in 2005. She was a member of the Edmond Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, a daughter, Constance Diane Lollar and sister Jewel Huffaker.

She is survived by three sons; Dale J and Enid L. Lollar, Edmond, OK, James (Jim) W. and Gay Lollar, Midlothian, TX and Jerald (Jerry) R. Lollar, San Diego, CA. Grandchildren; Melissa Bauman and husband John, Pam Phillips and husband Ric, Jay Lollar and wife Tara, Willie Rose Lollar and Jamie Gay Lollar. Three step grandchildren; Chad Hampton and wife Patti, Adrianne Lacki and husband Bob, Dalton Roger Baker and wife, Jennifer, four great grandchildren; Taylor Phillips, Cody Phillips, Callie White and Jackson Lollar.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at the Edmond Church of Christ. Interment will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at Mount Hope Cemetery in Anson, TX. In Lieu of flowers memorials can be made to “In Search of the Lord’s Way Ministries” or a charity of your choice.

Services are under the Direction of Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond.
