February 3, 1925 – July 4, 2013

William Howard Blakely of Oklahoma City, passed away on July 4, 2013. Howard was born in Madill, Oklahoma on February 3, 1925 to the late Walter and Tola Blakely. He lived in the Village in Oklahoma City most of his life, but always called Marshall County home.  blakely pic, howard

Howard was raised on a farm where his family worked as sharecroppers. He bravely served his country in Korea and was awarded two Bronze Stars. He retired from OG&E after 38 years. He was a lifetime member of the Village Lions Club. He lived a full life and is loved by many.

He was received in Heaven by our Lord; his mom and dad; four brothers and sisters, Earl Blakely, Florine Blakemore, Mozelle Bigger and Merle Blakely.

He is survived by his partner of over 30 years, Faye Mauldin; brother Charlie Blakemore and wife Judy; three children, Diane Morgan and her husband Michael, David Blakely, Greg Blakely and his wife Beverly; four grandchildren, Stephanie, Christine, Megan and Joe; as well as four great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

He will be laid to rest in Madill, Oklahoma.

    many memories of him. Our thoughts and prayers to all of you.
