1959-2019
William D. Wade, 59 of Guthrie, Oklahoma passed away January 20th at 7:00 p.m. surrounded by his loving family and friends. William was born October 10, 1959 to Morris Monroe Wade and Frances Louise Willams Wade in Wichita, KS. He was proceeded by death by parents and older brother Patrick Maurice Wade. His wife Donna Lee Wade survives him in death along with his two brothers, Rex Aaron Wade and Charles Edward Wade and his wife Leyda Cardales Wade . A son Joesph David Wade and daughter Lantana Louise Wade and their mother Stephanie Lewis and many extended family.
William’s father was a cattle rancher in Eastern Oklahoma. William and his brothers learned about hard work and working together. It was a good life. William was known by “Billy or Bill” in school. He graduated from Keota HS in 1977 and went to OSU and graduated with a bachelors degree. He was a die hard true and blue, or should I say “orange” OSU fan. GO POKES! He taught school for a few years and then went into hotel management and sales for many years.
He worked for Schwans for 20 years of dedicated service, his customers looked forward to seeing his yellow truck pull up in front of their houses. He always met them with a smile on his face and a few jokes to share. Many of his customers became his extended family and appreciated his excellent dedication and service. His most recent job was with Public Storge as a property manager where he had to go on leave to fight his battle with cancer. He was a strong and brave warrior and fought a hard battle.
God carried him home, where he is resting free of pain.
We love you more William David Wade.
A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 3, 2019 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel Edmond, OK.
