William ‘Cody’ Watson

1985 – 2015

Watson. WilliamWilliam Cody Watson, 30, of Edmond, OK, was born July 12, 1985 in Oklahoma City and passed away December 31, 2015. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that Cody had touched in some way throughout his life.

Cody was preceeded in death by his grandparents William Watson and Ruby Watson of Plano, TX and Robert and Lelah Cartmill of Moore, OK. He is survived by his father and step mother, Jim and Debby Watson, Edmond and mother and step father Danny and Sandy Cano, Moore; daughter, Kaydence Taylor; and loving Sister, Ashley Watson and her children, Ainsley Watson and Elijah Whitley along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Cody attended Edmond Memorial High School and graduated from Oklahoma Christian Academy. He then attended MidAmerica Christian University and OCCC studying computer aided design. Cody had a love for music, arts and poetry and had dreams of mentoring others. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of LDS. His smile, laughter and spirit for life will never be forgotten and he will be missed by everyone who knew him.

The family would like to thank everyone who helped Cody over the years, your love for him is evident and we will be forever grateful. A memorial service will be held at the Matthews Funeral Home , Edmond OK, Jan 5 at 2:00 p.m. with Trey Bowden officiating.

  3. I did not know Cody (Bill) for a long time but myself and his friends enjoyed his company. He was a caring guy and is missed. I am very sorry for your loss and my prayers go out to Cody’s family.

I’m his daughter I wish I could’ve gotten to know him when I was a little girl my ma said he died around the time I was born but than I found out that he had died when I was 5 and my mom told me everything about him and she told me that i’ve talked to him but i didn’t know i was cause i wished him a happy bday thinking it was one of my moms friends. I’m just glad that i get to know about him and what happend.
