William “Bill” Edmond Puckett died peacefully on June 1st, 2023, at 81. He was born to Ed and Dorene Puckett in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma on July 5th, 1941. Bill attended Northeast High School in Oklahoma City, where he was named All-State in football and baseball. He attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, on a baseball scholarship, where he earned a degree in Business Administration.
Bill founded Business Benefits Agency in 1981. He also served on the board of directors of Kirkpatrick Bank for many years. Bill lived an active lifestyle and was very dedicated to fitness. He loved working out and socializing with his buddies at the gym.
Bill is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ann; three children, William Brian Puckett of Oklahoma City, Parker Darin Puckett of Oklahoma City, and Robert Earl Howard III and his wife Carla of Edmond, Oklahoma; sister Patti Liles and husband Bob of Edmond, Oklahoma; grandchildren Jay Puckett, Natalie Puckett, Bobby Howard, Brooke Howard, and Shiloh Puckett. He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Judah and Jade Flaum, and devoted friend and business partner Kim Charles. He was preceded in death by brothers David Puckett and Bobby Puckett.
Services will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at All Souls Episcopal Church, 6400 N Pennsylvania Ave, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73116.
Bill and I were close growing up. When the Puckett brothers were together, we were there. Bill was the closest cousin in age to me. When we were young, we would go hiking in the “wilderness” the woods by his house, for hours.
When we got older my family moved to Tulsa. We lost touch, I’m sorry to say.
