We loved our brother-in-law, always had so much fun with him and Rosemary. Always remember a road trip and Wayne loved fried pies and Rosemary knew they were not good for him so I suggested we buy one and split it 4 ways. Wayne was NOT HAPPY about his tiny little piece and always reminded me about it! Another trip we stopped in Montana for pie and Rosemary wanted him to split it with her and Wayne said NO, he was eating the whole thing himself!
And there is also a tick story but you have to ask Rosemary about that one!! Just a few of our fun memories we have of Wayne.

Aunt Rosie, we are so sorry to hear this news. Uncle Wayne had a great life and always seemed so happy. I don’t know if I can even remember a time when he wasn’t smiling (even with my dad around…haha). We will miss him! We pray that you get through this difficult time and hope to see you soon!

I loved seeing Wayne at church. He always seemed to be happy and content. I could, also see intelligence in his eyes. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. I am so sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Sharyn Kirkland

  5. Uncle Wayne made a lot of great memories for me. He took Karen and I camping often and taught us to ski. Such a happy, positive and uplifting example.

  6. I remember when I was about 10 years old I told my dad I wanted to change my name to Wayne. He got really mad and it wasn’t until many years later I found out he had wanted to name me Wayne and had met with resistance so he didn’t.

I will always remember all the stories Wayne would tell about his life, history of Oklahoma, and always with a smile!
He made everyone feel like part of his family, and adopted many friends into his life!
We will all miss him dearly, but remember him with a smile!
Rosemary, I know you will get through this time and feel blessed to have been such a big part of this man’s life!

Aunt Rosie we are so sorry for the loss of Uncle Wayne. He was always such a happy person and I’m sure it had a lot to do with the love and care you gave him every day. We will always remember the stories Wayne would tell while driving around Oklahoma on our Indigo trips. I’m sure he’s in heaven right now enjoying one of those cinnamon rolls! Love and many prayers being sent to you!

Rosemary we were so sorry to hear about Wayne. We always enjoyed his company and his many stories.
One time especially comes to mind when you were visiting and we were having cocktails on our patio with Jeannette and Ed. Our of the clear blue sky, Wayne stood up and wanted to give a toast to his brother in law Ed. He raised his glass and said, “Ed Trenary is full of s- – -!” We all raised our glasses, agreed and applauded. We still laugh when we think about that evening.

We hope to see you soon, Rosemary. You’re in our thoughts and prayers.

    Fondly, Maria & Gerry Everding

    Aunt Rosemary
What sad news to lose such a loving and joyful uncle. He always made us laugh. He was such a character that we have such fond memories of! Even though there was distance between our families, the time we spent together was very special. We loved him very much and will greatly miss him. We pray for you and hope to see you soon.

I always looked forward to seeing my cousin Wayne. He was always engaging with a quick sense of humor, a twinkle in his eye and a ready smile. Paired with his brother Donald you had the making of many memorable moments that will live in my memory for ever. I can see his smiling face right now and I know all is well with him. He was a blessing to us that knew him and he will be missed.

  14. I had the privilege of working with Wayne at Southwestern Bell for many years. He was a true ray of sunshine. I can still hear his expressions today…. someone would sneeze and he would yell “sick leave” or every day at 5:00 he would say “ I feel like I’ve been ironing in high heels all day“ or on Friday’s going to Casa Maria or Del Rancho in “old blue”. Rest In Peace dear friend. Rosemary, you and the family will be in my thoughts and prayers. I know your wonderful memories of a life well lived will bring you peace. Love, Mike and Kay Seymour❤️❤️❤️

Uncle Wayne you will definitely be missed. But I want to THANK you & Aunt Rosie for everything that I got to do with you both. From the summer vacation to your house, boating, motorcycle rides, going to the car races and all of us wore matching bibs. You was like a second dad to me and I was thankful to have that relationship with you. Love always Theresa

Uncle Wayne was a wonderful, happy, and one of the nicest people you would ever meet. Didn’t matter who you were, he always took the time to talk to you and make you feel special. He always made me smile. He was a great tour guide and very proud of his city. He and Aunt Rosemary took me to my first casino. Uncle Wayne was more excited about the free ice cream cones than the gambling. Lol. He will be greatly missed by ALL that had the pleasure of meeting him. Love You Always & Forever💗
