Espinosa, ViolaViola Mae (Cramer) Sparadeo, Espinosa, 86 years old, born January 19, 1929 in Oklahoma City, died August 18, 2015 at Willow Creek Nursing Center in Guthrie, OK. At the young age of 17, she married a young sailor from Providence, Rhode Island who was stationed at the naval base in Norman, OK. After serving time overseas, he was sent back to Norman, OK for discharge. This was during World War II. Mae and Gordon A. Sparadeo married in Oklahoma City and eventually moved to Rhode Island to make a home. After raising six children, she and her second husband, Jose Espinosa, retired and moved back to Oklahoma. They bought a house in Edmond, OK, where they were happy and loved living. Jose died in December of 2005. Mae and Jose were active members of Edmond Road Baptist Church. Mae’s health was failing. After several strokes, she was unable to live by herself. She lived in Guthrie at Willow Creek Nursing Center where she was happy and got excellent care for almost three years. She had friends at Willow Creek and two wonderful nieces who worked there. The staff were her very good friends and loved her.

Mae enjoyed reading her bible every day, raising a vegetable garden and loved working outside in her flower beds. Mae was an excellent cook, especially Italian food. She was a very devout member of the Edmond Road Baptist Church and had many church friends. She loved cats and always had a special cat friend to enjoy.

She is survived by four children, one sister, Louise Belle Boyles of Del City, OK. Her children are Gordon Sparadeo of Connecticut, Paul Sparadeo of Rhode Island, Steven Sparadeo of Florida, and a daughter Deborah born with cerebral palsy in a state hospital in Zambdorino, Rhode Island since she was 3 years old. She is now in her late fifties, six nieces, two nephews and many great and great great nieces and nephews. She had 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Earl Cramer, mother, Viola Baker Cramer. Her father was born in 1886, a World War I veteran of 20 plus years, a sister, Clara Irene Windle Cramer, brother, Edward Joe Cramer, husband, Jose Espinosa, daughter, Cathy Martin and son Daniel Sparadeo. She will be forever missed and loved. Thanks to the staff at Willow Creek and Hospice for their loving care.

Visitation will be Sunday August 23, 2015 from Noon- 8pm Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly Edmond, OK. Funeral Ceremony, 2:00 pm Monday August 24, 2015 at Edmond Road Baptist Church. 1207 W. Edmond Rd. Interment to follow at Summit View Cemetery in Guthrie, OK.
