Vincent Nicholas Hoehner
1931 – 2020
Vince “Windy” Hoehner passed away peacefully on March 10th surrounded by his family in Edmond, OK. He was the husband of Mona Hoehner and together they shared 63 years in marriage.
Vince was born December 5, 1931 in Okarche, OK and was the son of John and Mary Schlirf Hoehner. He served in the Korean War and attended Oklahoma A & M College. Vince worked in the oil and gas industry with B S & B and Trend Construction for 28 years. He founded Hoehner Construction and was a private home builder and landlord in Edmond, OK until his passing.
Vince was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Okarche, St. James Catholic Church in Oklahoma City and St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond. He loved being with his family, playing golf with his friends and was an avid fan of the Oklahoma State Cowboys. He will be remembered for his love of life, his appreciation for a job well done and his humorous storytelling. He was a joyful spirit to all who knew him. Vince’s motto in life was “Acceptance and Commitment” and he lived by it every day.
He is survived by his loving wife Mona Hoehner, children and spouses Paula and George Drew, Sue and Denney Crabaugh, Mack and Rie Hoehner, and his brother Mark Hoehner, nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings Vernon Hoehner, Paul Hoehner, Norbert Hoehner, Anna Mae Eischen and David Hoehner.
Visitation will be held Sunday March 15th from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with a Wake Service at 6:00 pm at Matthews Funeral Home: 601 S. Kelly Ave, Edmond OK, 73003. Funeral Mass will be held Monday March 16th at 11:00 am at St John the Baptist Catholic Church: 900 S. Littler Ave, Edmond, OK, 73034. The Interment will follow at Gracelawn Cemetery: 1407 N. Boulevard, Edmond, OK, 73034.

Hi Mona, this is Paul & Jacki Dargen along with Drew & Evan Dargen. We send our sincerest condolences to you and your family, we were saddened hearing the news of Vince’s passing. We absolutely loved meeting you and Vince and are happy to have an opportunity on two of your Edmond properties…we will honor Vince with something he would approve of.
I know you felt Blessed to start your days with Vince for so many years, but I choose to believe he’s gone ahead to make ready a place in Heaven where you both shall have the perfect home. So even though these days now start without him: Know you’re not far apart, for every time you think of him he’s right there in your heart. We Love you Mona.
