1960-2017Moss, Tony obit and folder

Tony Ray Moss was born in Pauls Valley, Oklahoma on July 31st, 1960. He moved to Edmond, Oklahoma in 1964. He graduated from Edmond Memorial High School in 1979, where his nickname was “Fungi”. It was a play on words because of his last name, but it described his personality perfectly. Tony was definitely a “Fun Guy!” He worked with his father for several years at Northside Cleaning Company but eventually found his passion in the car sales business. Tony was most proud of his daughter, Allison Williams, and devoted his life to her. Becoming a father-in-law to DeJuan and a Paw Paw to Carter were his most cherished moments. He was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends and always had a smile on his face. He loved the outdoors and especially fishing.

Tony went to his eternal home on December 1, 2017. He is survived by his father, Jim Moss; daughter, Allison Williams and husband DeJuan; Step-daughter Bridgette Wommer; grandson, Carter Williams; sisters, LaVonda and husband Ronnie; Staci and husband Todd; Stephanie and husband Todd; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles that he dearly loved.

We are most grateful that Tony believed in the Lord Jesus Christ and is at peace in Heaven with his buddies, Frank and Clayton, his Mama Kaye and many other relatives who welcomed him into their arms.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 7th at 10 a.m. at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond with a graveside service to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery.

My condolences to the family at this time of loss. Losing someone you love is never easy. May you be comforted by the words of Jesus at John 5:28,29, “Do not be amazed at this ,for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out…..” The resurrection hope is real for our precious loved ones who rest in God’s memory. May that thought along with the strength of friends and all your happy memories help to bring a measure of comfort and peace.

I lived with Tony and Chip in the early 80’s and we always had so much fun as a house of 3 guys. Lots of tricks and lots of fellowship. My wife Shannon and I are praying for your family. This is just so sad to learn of his passing.

  4. Chip and I are the ones left out of the guys that were close friends, although Tony had many friends besides us four. I never thought that I would of been with out Tony he and I were very close. Tony never held anything against anyone. He was my long life buddy. from the 2nd grade through he’s departure. Tony is with JESUS and in no pain anymore. I still am in shock. I know he loved his family. as well as the many friends he has made throughout his time here on earth. Many I did not know, but I know that Tony was the same with all as he was with me. He will be Missed

so long until we meet again Buddy _____________

I believe the year was 1980 when I saw a 1978 blue Camaro for sale parked in the yard of his parents house. I bought that car and I still have it. Used to run into him from time to time around town. One of the nicest person I’ve ever known.
