Tom later graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Central State University (1985) and a master’s degree in public administration from Oklahoma State University (1996). I am going to miss my first cousin, Tommy very much. I can just see him sitting on my patio, smoking a cigar and having a short glass of scotch. I just saw him & Susan in Houston a few months ago when they came to a town nearby me for a funeral and they wanted to have dinner with me. I will cherish that evening forever. We take it for granted that people will always be there but they won’t. RIP Tom, tell Charlie hello when you see him. I love you, Your Cuz, Sissie

    Susan, Sarah and Mackenzie,
My heart is broken for you and all of us who loved Tommie. He was my Bonus Uncle, being Uncle Buddy Hodges’ best friend. I remember him taking me to dinner when I graduated Highschool, my first “grown up” “Dress up” dinner out! He showed up in Suit and tie and made me feel so important and loved! Always such a fine Gentleman. I regret not keeping in closer contact with this AMAZING man!

Tommie Case was a great guy, popular in high school and more in later life as serving others as a hero of kindness. Tommie had a quiet confidence for his Love of GOD and people. He missed all of those who Graduated to Heaven especially his family, friends, Capitol Hill graduates and one long & close elementary friend Gene Sims. Bless Tommie’s family Susan, and all of the family as they were his life. He too had a strong appreciation for Susan’s mother and family. We are and I was blessed that he called me friend.

So sad to hear about Tommie, he was such a nice guy, however, there was the time he almost drown me in the CHHS pool when we were playing water polo and he held me under the water until I gave up the ball, LOL.
Rest in Peace, my friend. Thoughts and prayer to your family.

I don’t feel really qualified to write about Tommie. I met Tommie through his wife, Susan. Soon after their marriage Tommie graciously invited my wife and I to their home for dinner. My memories from over 30 years ago are vague but I do remember he was a great host and fun was had by all..
I want Susan and her family to know my thoughts are with her and I’m very sorry for her loss.
While there is very little I can offer in comfort I want Susan to know I’ve always considered her a dear friend. Rest in Peace Tommie. And Susan you take care of yourself.

  21. Vi Freeman

    Rest in Peace, Tom.
He was one of the first people I met at DHS and always one of my favorites. Tom knew a little (mostly a lot) about everything DHS. I count myself blessed to have known and worked with him. My love and condolences to Susan and his family.

  22. Janet Broyles

Our God of All Comfort will continue to help his family and friends as only He can.
    Love and prayers, JFB
