Todd Eugene Decker

1967-2024

Todd Eugene Decker, 57, passed away peacefully at home on November 27, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. Born on April 19, 1967, in Newton, Kansas, to Norma Mosiman Gritz and Nolan Decker, Todd spent his early years in Kansas before moving to Enid, Oklahoma, in the late 70’s. He graduated from Enid High School and later settled in Edmond, Oklahoma, where he made his home.

Todd began his career in parts at Day Ford in Enid. After relocating to Edmond, he began working at Bob Howard PDC, where he left a lasting impact on his colleagues and those around him. While Todd was dedicated to his work, his true passion was racing. His shop was his sanctuary, where he spent countless hours fine-tuning engines and preparing for the next race. For Todd, the track was more than just about speed—it was about community, camaraderie, and the thrill of the journey. Known for his quiet yet generous spirit, Todd became a beloved figure in the racing community, always ready to help, encourage, and inspire others.

Todd was previously married to Kim Haselwander in 1989 and later to Shannon Nunn in 1996, with whom he had his son, Creighton Decker. He met Sandy, the love of his life, whom he married in 2000 and had two children, Zoe and Cameron Decker. Together, they built a life full of love, family, and shared adventures.

Todd is survived by his devoted wife, Sandy Decker, and daughter, Zoe Decker, of the home; his son, Creighton Decker, and daughter-in-law, Gracen Decker, of Oklahoma City; his granddaughter, Amelia Decker; his sister, Annette and husband Carson Franklin of Waukomis; his brother, Lonnie and wife April Gritz; as well as siblings Ashley Decker and Tyler Decker; and his father, Ken Gritz all of Enid. He is also survived by nieces and nephews Christopher Gritz, Brandon Gritz, Anna David, Matthew David, McKenzie Kitt, Justyn Price, Oakley Bush, and Haley Gritz. As well as great-nieces and nephews Rylan McDermott, Hagen Gritz, Kenlee Gritz, and Zayden Gritz. And all those who knew him as Uncle Todd.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents, Norma Gritz and Nolan Decker; his son, Cameron Decker; and his nephews, Devin Decker and Zachery Franklin.

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m., Friday, November 29th with family present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel.
