  1. Colt,
I’m so sorry to hear about your Dad. I know he must be extremely proud of the son, husband, and father you have become. It was an honor to see you grow as an educator, and pray for you, Mariah, and your family as you adjust to this loss. When those empty times missing him flood your mind, just fill your heart and those around you with with his memories. “When those we love become a memory, the memory becomes a treasure”.

I wasn’t born in his blood, and never had the opportunity to build a grandfather relationship from my own descent. Poppy filled that role for me, teaching me things like gardening, how to tinker more effectively, and how to really appreciate sitting outside with morning coffee and good conversation. He can never be replicated. I’ll miss him forever.

Ron will truly be missed by so many people. He was such a loving and accepting man. We have only known Ron for a short time but it seems so much longer. We shared many meals together and always had some laughs and he made us feel a part of his family. His and Bonnies kindness has carried over into their 3 sons and we so grateful for knowing all of them.

    Bonnie, Tim, Todd and Colt,
Ron has been in my life since were were just kids and always the best friend ever. Our grandparents were good friends and our parents. I can’t think of him being gone, not seeing him or playing dominoes again or hearing his voice. He was such a good person, a good man and truly loved his family with all his heart and was your friend forever. He was so proud of his family and all their accomplishments and always took such good care of Bonnie. I know he is in a better place and out of pain and we will all see him again. What good memories we all have and I am so thankful I had him in my life for I am a better person for that.
My prayers for all of you to have the strength to get through the hard time in th days and weeks ahead. Love to you all.

  6. I can’t remember never knowing Ron Kennemer. We were buddies growing up, going to Highway School, playing ball, just being pals, spending the night with each other.
We graduated from high school at Highway the same year. I also remember when Ron accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior, and he served the Lord all his life. A good friend, even if he was left-handed. God blessed me with a good friend in “old Ron.”

    Bonnie, Tim, Todd, & Colt,
We just heard about Ron’s passing into the Golden Gates. There was never a kinder, more generous man.
When Brooke needed a place to live, she moved into the little house across the street from them. Ron was always checking on her, making sure everything was ok.
Every time we asked about you boys, he would literally beam! He was so proud of you guys and your families.
You can’t talk about Ron without talking about Bonnie. They were so good to my parents. Rosemary & Raymond Smith loved them as fellow Jesus followers and caretakers of their beloved Lone Star Baptist Church.
He will be missed by all who knew him, but heaven has gained a great humble man.
We will continue to pray for your families.
