Stephen Christopher Tims
1976 – 2025
Stephen Christopher Tims (Chris) was born July 29, 1976 in Edmond, Oklahoma and passed away on April 24, 2025 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Chris attended elementary school in Edmond Public Schools followed by middle school and high school at Deer Creek Schools. He attended Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma.
Chris lived in the Oklahoma City area most of his life except for a few years in Tallahassee, FL where he owned and operated a lawn care & landscaping business. Chris spent a few years as a volunteer firefighter with the Newalla Fire Department. His lifelong interest was in mechanics, and he worked several places as a small engine mechanic, but was very proud to have started his own successful business as a mobile small engine service in 2021. Chris loved fishing, coin collecting, his dog Ellie and bringing joy to other people’s life’s.
Chris was very active in Life Church and The Band of Brothers OKC, a men’s group in his church. In 2024, Chris was a founding member & supporter of the Left 99 For The 1 Ministries, a 501c3 non-profit charity dedicated to helping the homeless.
Chris is survived by his mother, Sharon Ann England of Edmond, OK, his father Steve Tims and step-mother Regina Tims of Edmond, OK; His sister, Lindsey Vaughn and husband James of Edmond, OK; his brother, Mike Tims and wife Kristina of Edmond, OK; step-sister, Jennifer Metcalf and husband Mark of McAlester, OK; step-sister, Tina McArthur of Edmond, OK; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, 2025 at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma.
