Stanley Albert Pickard
1936-2014
Stanley Albert Pickard was born September 1, 1936 to Orlan and Stella “Roberts” Pickard in Seward, Oklahoma. He graduated from Deer Creek Schools and was the owner of City Brake and Clutch. Stanley was a devoted Christian and his faith and family were the center of his life. He was an avid sports fan enjoying Nascar, O.U., and the Thunder as well as woodworking.
Stanley is survived by wife Julia, of the home; son Derick and Natalie Pickard of Edmond, OK; daughter Cindy O’Kelley of Cushing, OK; 9 grandchildren – Kyle, Kari, Taylor, Ashley, Christopher, Mason, Marc, Bradley, and Tyler; step-children Gary L. and Charlotte Waddle of Edmond, OK, and Wanda Salinas of Edmond, OK; 3 step grandchildren April, Andrew, and Tammy. Stanley was preceded in death by his 1st wife, Helen Janice Pickard; and daughter Linda Slabotsky. Services are 10:00 a.m. Thursday July 10, 2014 at Spring Creek Assembly of God with interment to follow. Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home – Edmond.
I am so sorry Julia, we had no idea that Stanley had passed away. We don’t attend Calvary anymore so they don’t share things with us like this. Stanley meant so much to our family and still does. We have talked about you guys often and how you were doing. I am sorry we have not stayed in contact. We love you and are praying for you and the entire family.
So sorry for your loss. He was always such a pleasant person always in a good mood.
He did business with Prior Automotive in Dallas for years.
