Stacia A. Gillett
1955-2017
Stacia A. Gillett, age 61, died peacefully at Mercy Hospital after a short but intense struggle with lung disease. She is survived by her David Gillett (husband of 40 years), Marcus Gillett (son) and Abby Gillett (daughter). She was a teacher, Mother, Military Spouse, and artist. She had a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education from Eastern Washington University and a Master’s Degree in Administration from Central Michigan University. As a military spouse, she organized support for wounded troops returning from Iraq and Afghanistan to Landsthul Hospital in Germany. Locally, she supported Public Television and Oklahoma Kidz Charity Foundation. She led a long life of service to her community and family.
A memorial service will be held on May 13, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Tinker Chapel, 6170 Arnold St # 6, Tinker AFB, OK 73145
So sorry to hear of Stacia’s passing. When she moved to San Antonio, back in the 3rd grade, my father was so impressed by her that he called all my friends Stacia even after I graduated college. He is now 85 and will also be sad to hear the news. Heartfelt prayers to your family.
I remember walking to her house after school in the 3rd grade, and visiting with her mother. What a loss this is. She will alays hold a special place in my heart. Prayers and thoughts to her family.
My condolences to your family. I went to school with Stacia at St Pius. We had several sleepovers at her house. I remember her mom too. Stacia was a very sweet person. May you find comfort in one another during this difficult time.

Stacia grew up one street over from me. We walked to school together everyday and were very close friends. After high school, I lost touch with her, and have not had the pleasure of meeting Dave. Stacia and I reconnected and have been in touch over the last 10 years by phone, email, and occasional visits to San Antonio. Her excitement for life could not be contained! She will be terribly missed. My deepest sympathies for your family at this very sad time.

I am so sorry to hear about Stacia. She was a good friend through the years & I will miss her & her wonderful Christmas cards, pictures & updates about the family. She was too young but she truly lived a full life. Many prayers for you & the family.
I had the honor of meeting Stacia when I was in COMSTAR. She had a great smile and wonderful sense of humor. She will be missed.
I was so sad when I heard about Stacia. She was truly a special, vivacious woman. I had the pleasure of having some interesting conversations with her. She will be missed, but I feel honored to have known her. Rest In Peace Stacia.
