1959 – 2023
Shelley Shelley, 63, was born in Napa, California on July 15, 1959, to Virginia and H. Glen Prater. Shelley went to spend eternity with Jesus on Monday, June 19, 2023. Shelley was kind, loving, generous, caring, and a Fully Devoted Follower of Christ. She had many accomplishments in her life through singing, traveling, owning various businesses, and her favorite- raising her son, Smokey. She was most recently awarded the honor of chaplaincy through The Pentecostal Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her father, H. Glen Prater, aunt and uncle, Jean and Louis Reed, and friend and companion, Forrest Gompf.
She is survived by her Son, Smokey Solis and his wife Hannah; mother Virginia and her husband Kenneth Baker; brother Steven Prater and his wife LuAnne; aunt and uncle Rebecca (Becky) and her husband Bill Bachmann; and many other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Her Family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff who cared for her at Oklahoma Heart Hospital, Mercy network, Northwest Texas Healthcare System, Craig Rehabilitation, and Swedish Hospital.
The Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 1st, 2023 at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Shelly you will be missed you were definitely one of a kind… I have so many memories of you and Smokey. Anyone that knew you knew that Smokey was the light of your life… You did a great job in raising him… You know that you can rest in peace because he’s going to be all right… You gave him all the love and taught him to be the man that he is today. Rest in peace my friend you will forever be in my thoughts and carried in my heart.
Shelley my precious friend. It is so hard to say goodbye to you after 40 years. We talked every week and supported eachother all these years. I think about you everyday and remember all those fun times together. I know now that you are in heaven and I am happy you are with your loved ones that you missed so much. Smokey she will also be with you everyday because her love for you was so strong. I love you Shelley and always will.
My Dear Shelley, I first met you at Northwest hospital and we made so many memories. I know you are whole now and dancing in heaven. You came along ways both mentally and physically. I love you dear friend and Thank you for the honor if taking care of you. Until we meet again. R.I.P.
