Sharon Gayle Reynolds, Sherry
April 23, 1953 – March 29, 2021
Sherry Reynolds joined Jesus in Heaven on March 29, 2021 passing away at home in Edmond, Oklahoma. She left behind her loving husband of 37 years Timothy Reynolds, sons Brenton, Brandon, daughter Brittney sons Wesley and Michael Reynolds. She is survived by her mother Shirley Haire and twelve grandchildren: Skyla, Scout, Ryker, Gia, Roman, Rayni, Fallyn, Madison, Kaleb, Paxton, Maximus and Theodore Reynolds. Daughter in laws Jessica and Stephanie Reynolds. She is survived by a large family consisting of many aunts, cousins nieces and nephews. She was also blessed with five sister in laws. She is preceded in death by her brother Michael Simon and her father William Marion Simon.
Sherry Simon was born in Shreveport, Louisiana. Her mother’s family, the Higdons were from the Taylor Arkansas area and her father’s family, the Simons were from Winnsboro, Louisiana. Sherry attended school in Shreveport and graduated from Bird High School in 1971. She attended school at LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Sherry grew up with a great family relationship gained from a large number of aunts and uncles with kids to spend time with. She held those relationships dear throughout her life.
She married Tim Reynolds in October of 1983 and lived briefly in Houston, Texas and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania before settling in Oklahoma for most of their marriage.
Sherry dedicated her life to raising her children. She put her heart and soul into making her children’s life special. She was a fantastic cook and was immensely talented and creative. She threw the most amazing birthday parties for the kids and would bake cakes that were remembered for years. She could do anything she set her mind to including remodeling a house, painting a wall, laying tile, building a deck and creating art work to make her family’s life special.
Sherry loved to travel and explore the world. The sea, the beach, exotic places were all special to Sherry. Many trips were taken to beautiful destinations. Beginning in 2017 Sherry and Tim began traveling and living their dream in the Mediterranean Region on a sailboat. The plan was to spend their special years experiencing the life of their dreams. Sherry lived that life and will be missed by all.
Services will be held April 7th, 2021 at 2 pm at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, Oklahoma.
