Sean Henderson

Sean Henderson

May 9, 1989 – February 12, 2019

Sean was born in Oklahoma City at Deaconess Hospital to parents Ed and Raelene Henderson. He grew up and attended Edmond public schools from K through 12th graduating from Edmond Santa Fe High School in 2007. Attended UCO and graduated in May 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Sean was a fine young man who lived his life touching others with his warmth and humor. In many ways Sean was like Will Rogers in that he never disliked anyone he met. He gained that love for others by growing up in a family that ministered to the inner-city families in Oklahoma City through Sidewalk Sunday School. Sean did not see what people were on the outside instead looked at people with the Love of God. He had a servant’s heart that was surrounded by the people who loved and cared for him.

Sean will be missed by all of his family and close friends. He is survived by parents Ed and Raelene Henderson of Edmond, OK; Sister Jessica of Edmond, OK; Brother Tylor Henderson and his family of Allen, TX; Grandparents Mr. and Mrs. J. Raymond Henderson of Bedford Texas; Aunt Jane Henderson of Hurst TX; Uncle Richard Henderson of Hurst, TX; Uncle & Aunt Leonard and Linda Smith and their grown children Michael; David and Joseph along with their families; Uncle Ray Rauch Jr. and son Kyle Rauch of Grinnell, IA. And Sean’s best friend Jeff Kay.

Memorial services will be held on Monday, February 18th at 1:00 P.M. at Word of God Church, 837 NW 95th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73114.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories of Sean playing with Ben at our house. He was a high energy, kind, funny boy. I enjoyed the time he spent with us and look forward to our reunion in heaven. Hugs and prayers to all of you.
