Roy E. Maker, 89, went to be with his Lord @ 2:09 p.m. August 24, 2016, with his family at his bedside. He was born October 30, 1926, in Logan County, OK. He was born to John E. Maker and Nanny Bosserman. He was the 7th of 8 children in the family.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of the home, daughter Carolyn and husband Chris, daughter Beverly and husband Kent, and grandchildren Tony, Becky, Chad, Cory and Robert. He has 4 great-grandchildren.

He retired from Safeway as a produce manager. After their retirement, Roy and Dorothy traveled until about 1998.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016, at the Covenant Presbyterian Church located at 10100 Ridgeview Drive, The Village, OK. His internment will be at Gracelawn in Edmond. Arrangement by Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, OK.

  3. We were so sad to hear of Roy’s passing. He was a great friend, and always a lot of fun. Being with Roy and Dot was never dull, but always a time of laughter and friendly teasing. There is a vacuum caused by the loss of a person that was always so full of life. Our love Dot. We grieve with you.
