Roseann Gerah Nida passed away April 5, 2016 following a courageous, six-year battle with breast cancer.
She was married to the love of her life, Carl Nida, for 22 years. Being mother to Taylor Nida was her proudest achievement.
A graduate of Midwest City High School and the University of Central Oklahoma, Roseann worked for Edmond Public Schools for 17 years, most recently in technology and resource management for Edmond Santa Fe High School.
Roseann was an avid lover of life who was industrious, creative and passionate in all her endeavors. She will be remembered by many as an enthusiastic, loyal and tireless member and international volunteer for her sorority, Alpha Gamma Delta, for more than 38 years. Countless others will remember Roseann as a steadfastly devoted friend who would do anything to help someone in need. She gave her time generously and cheerfully.
Roseann was preceded in death by her father, Bill Gerah. She is survived by her husband, Carl, her son Taylor, step-son Tyler and his wife, Felicia. She is also survived by her mother, Rose Gerah; her sisters, Maria Gerah Sheppard and husband Phillip, and Rie Gerah Hoehner and husband Mack; nephews John and Michael Hoehner and nieces, Catie and Caroline Hoehner; brothers-in-law, Mike Nida, Bob Nida and Ron Nida; sisters-in-law, Judy Goin, Annette Wurtzberger, Shari Goley and Barbara Summerall; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews from Perry, Oklahoma.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, OK.
A Mass of Christian Burial will bel held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 8, 2016 at Saint Rosa of Lima Catholic Church, Perry, OK.
