Rosa Mae Daughety (Griggs) was born January 30, 1931 in Geary, OK to Elmer and Clara Griggs (Wilson). She passed away on July 7, 2017 in The Village, OK. She accepted the Lord at the age of 9 when she went to live with her grandparents, Charley and Rosie Wilson. She was a member of Edmond First Church and loved coming to church services and attending prime timer functions. She enjoyed reading devotionals and mission books.

Rosa loved her kids. She loved to cook, read, and do needle crafts. She loved to bake and blessed many friends and family members with her yummy treats. She baked at Furr’s Cafeteria for almost 20 years.

She loved all her extended family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her special cousins, Ruby, Nellie, and Betty who were all like sisters to her. She had a wonderful smile and sweet spirit that she shared with everyone.

Rosa was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Harold Griggs, son Elbert William Daughety, and great-grandchildren Matthew Burdick and Miranda Adam. She is survived by daughter, Arleen Burdick and her extended Burdick family; Robbie & Diana Dykes, Kent & Debra Adam, David & Linda Burdick, John & Amy Burdick, Jeremy & Andrea Dykes and 5 boys, Dalton, Greyson, Cooper, Mason, Sawyer, Troy & Nikki Dykes & Charley, Abigail, Carson, Casey & Jenna Nichols & Dez, Hank Burdick, Christopher & Alysa Jones, son Leard & Frennie Daughety, Ray & Kristin Daughety, Matt & Jessica Lacey, 2 brothers, Gene & Georgia Griggs, Dwayne Matthews, 2 sisters, Joyce Chapman, Mary Lou Gambill, and 3 precious cousins, Nellie Mackey, Betty & Richard Knapp, and Ruby Hughes.
