1938-2024

Ronda G. Moore, 85, born December 28,1938 in Sulphur, OK to Roy and Audrey Jaynes passed away on April 23, 2024 following a battle with Alzheimer’s.

She retired from teaching, in 2001, after ten years at Crooked Oak High School and enjoyed travelling with her loving husband William Moore who preceded her in death in 2008. She was a wonderful mother whose love extended beyond her family. She loved crossword puzzles, traveling, shopping, and collecting coupons from the Sunday paper.

Her memory will be honored by her surviving loving children: sons; Stephen Shanahan, Michael Shanahan, William Moore, Alan Moore, daughters; Susan Danker, Deborah Hall and Carol Johnson; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 28th, from 5 – 8pm at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 29th at 10am at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond, OK with burial to follow at 2:30pm at Oaklawn Cemetery, Sulphur, OK. Services are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home.

    Ronda was a lovely lady and friend of my sister, Fran Nobles and me. We attended Sulphur High School together and had lots of good memories of high school days. She was always happy and fun to be around. I also enjoyed visiting her at Spanish Cove in Yukon where we both lived.
