Rolene “Joy” Snow
1951-2021
Rolene “Joy” Snow, a lover of Jesus Christ went to heaven on April 6th, 2021, same day as her beloved mother-in-law Dee Snow exactly nine years later. Joy was born on June 25th, 1951 in Holdenville Oklahoma and daughter to Roland and Paulene Adams. United in holy matrimony to Gaylon Snow for over 36 years, with surviving children Becky Sunderland and her husband Billy, Robert Hendricks and wife Melissa, and Ryan Snow. Joy has 8 grandchildren: Kaitlin Snow, Brittney Hendricks, Kierstin Sunderland, Kristian Sunderland, Lucas Snow, Avery Hendricks, Micah Snow, and Olivia Hendricks along with 4 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents Roland and Paulene Adams, and sisters Kay Bleasdell, Sue Hamburg, brother Art Adams, and surviving sister Jan Clemons. Joy is survived by her sisters-in-law, more like sisters to her, Bonnie Cheatwood, Joyce Hasel, Daphne Ibanez, and her bother-in-law Larry Snow along with numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Joy graduated from Nathan Hale High School in Tulsa Oklahoma in 1969. Joy was a reservation agent at Southwest Airlines for 21 years. She also spent many years serving in the special needs area of the First Baptist church of Edmond.
Her beautiful life will forever be cherished because of how she lived. Joy loved children and constantly surrounded herself with little ones running around the house. She loved to collect and watch butterflies. She loved to travel to find a warm beach, a beautiful waterfall, or a mesmerizing lighthouse. She was always filled with happiness when one of her favorite Christian songs came on the radio. She taught all of us how to love without bounds, be kind, and family is the most important part of life. She will be missed here on earth, but will no doubt be living, laughing, and loving every moment in heaven.
A celebration of life service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel Edmond, OK.
We will be live streaming this service in an effort to accommodate those people that wish to attend but feel they should not due to health regulations. To watch the service CLICK HERE to go to our YouTube page. Click on ‘Videos’, then ‘Live Streams’.
