1935-2016

Roger Mannschreck was born on April 20, 1935 to Orval and June Mannschreck in Wichita, KS. He passed into the arms of his savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday evening October 18, 2016.

Roger graduated from North High School in Wichita, KS and attended Abilene Christian University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business and later received his MBA from the University of Texas.

Roger enjoyed 27 years of employment with IBM before retiring in 1989. During his time with IBM, he met and married the love of his life, Bobbie. He was dedicated to his God and to his family, friends, and church. Roger was a long time member and elder of Edmond Christian Church and most recently served at North Side Christian Church. He was committed to advancing the gospel of Jesus Christ through mentoring, teaching, giving, and serving in local and global missions.

Roger will be deeply missed by Bobbie, his wife of 39 years. He also leaves behind his children and grandchildren: Mike Mannschreck and wife, Kristin (Mason, Averie and Mayer), Julie and husband, TJ Lawson (Jed, Zoe and Meg), Marcia and husband Renee Dickson (Preston, Bryce and Cory), Tim Mannschreck and wife, Tiffany (Madison), Tracy and husband, Brooks Buice. Roger was preceded in death by his son Mark.

The family will receive visitors Friday, October 21 from 5-8pm at Matthews Funeral Home (601 S. Kelly in Edmond, OK). Services celebrating the life of Roger will be Saturday, October 22 at 2pm at North Side Christian Church (2526 NW 122  nd  in Oklahoma City, OK).
