1965-2022
Robyn was born November 28, 1965, in Oklahoma City and died January 6, 2022. In between, she lived around Oklahoma and around the world. In her teens, she polished her silver soprano in voice lessons and vocal contests, all the while working long daycare hours guiding, nourishing, building young hearts and minds. Further along, she earned her LPN at OSU and dove into her cherished nursing career at Edmond Memorial Hospital. There she earned the admiration of her co-workers and was honored for her detailed care plans, empathy, and keen observational skills. Many patients live today thanks to her incisive action. On roadsides, she twice saved the lives of car accident victims. Robyn married Tommy Keller in 2002 and joined him on a fantastic voyage through Saudi Arabia and the Island of Cyprus with vacations in Paris, London, Ireland, Cairo, Venice, and Vienna, gaining the wisdom and perspective denied to most sedentary citizens. During these travels, Robyn’s marriage was blessed with two wonderful children at an age when most women have given up thoughts of motherhood and Robyn’s long-cherished dreams at last came true. Singer, caregiver, nurse, she showered all those talents on her children. She fed her babies the fresh healthy diet learned at daycare and on Cyprus, kept them physically well as “nurse Robyn”, and with Christian hymns and her beloved Choctaw lullabies sang them to sleep in her clear soprano voice. Robyn is survived by her children Elijah Ron, daughter Aaliyah Dawn, and their loving father Tommy Keller, brother Paul (Susan) Evans, brother Shawn (Renee) Evans, brother Adam (Christy) Evans, Step-father Worth Middleton, and many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Her Mother, Mary Lou Middleton, rejoices with her today in heaven. Services January 10, 2 o’clock at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S Kelly Ave, Edmond OK.
