Robert O. Rogers

Robert Ormond Rogers, age 83 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma died peacefully in his sleep Sunday, February 24, 2013 in the Alterra Sterling House Assisted Living on Hefner.
Born in Birmingham Alabama, January 14, 1930 to Lewis & Marjorie Rogers, Robert (Bob) attended Gulfport, Mississippi High School, then graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in petroleum engineering. He worked for Sun Oil, Vickers Petroleum, VP of Federal Petroleum, and was owner/operator of Romsco Engineering Inc. before retiring. He loved football season, watching history channel & jeopardy, getting together with family and traveling. He served two years in the Navy Reserve, and four years as an MP in the army till 1955 when he was honorably discharged. During his military years he was able to travel all over Europe, which were fond memories of his life.
Bob is survived by his children Kenneth J. Rogers, Robert L. Rogers, Lisa G. Rogers Foley and ex-wife Joan Rogers, his grandchildren Katelinn J. Foley and Meagan Rogers. He is pre-deceased by his son Steven J. Rogers, ex-wife Martha Ely and only brother Lewis W. Rogers Jr.
No funeral service was held, just a family gathering at the home of Lisa Rogers Foley.
