Robert E. Bardel

1943-2013

bardel. robertRobert (Bob) Bardel was born in Maxton, NC on Thanksgiving Day November 25th 1943. He died after a 3 year heroic battle with Brain Cancer on October 26th.  Bob attended the University of NC, Pembroke. He then spent 2 yrs in the Army Officer Training Program. In his job career he worked for Simmons and many Furniture factories as a rep., Metro First Realty, and did anything and everything that needed to be done at A.R.T.S. Dance Studio and Ministry Outreach in Edmond, OK.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Katha Brown Bardel, Sister, Caroline Love, Brother, Hank Bardel, Children: Mindi Mende, Mandy O’Neal, Amie Bowling, Wayne Hansen, Alisson Ramerize and 21 wonderful Grandchildren.

Comments from family and friends describing Bob:  “an unforgettable character “, “would help anyone with anything”, “could tell a great story”, “had nicknames for those he knew well”, “loved his children and grandchildren and they loved him”, “a friend to all”, “he loved attending church and Sunday school every week and spent many years as an usher greeting and loving on people”, “cried every time he heard the Star Spangled Banner”.

A service will be held in his honor this Sunday, November 3rd at 3 PM in the A.R.T.S. Performance Center – 312 S. Coltrane, Edmond, OK 73034. We will be limited on space so our invitation goes out to those that knew Bob well and want to join his family in remembering him as we celebrate with music, dance, and share unforgettable stories.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, that will soon perish, that you give to Katha and Bob’s favorite nonprofit organization that will continue for generations to come – The A.R.T.S. Foundation. Bob loved A.R.T.S. and would appreciate your support of the ministry he believed in and worked side by side with Katha and many others to make it what it is today!

Send donations to Barbara Skelton – Foundation Treasurer – 509 S. Santa Fe #145, Edmond, OK 73003. Arrangements are under the direction of Matthews Funeral Home and Cremation service.

    I usually do not drop a great deal of comments, but
    i did some searching and wound up here Robert E.
    Bardel |. And I actually do have a few questions for you if you do not
    mind. Is it just me or does it appear like some of the remarks appear like left by brain dead visitors?
    😛 And, if you are writing at other online social sites, I’d like to keep
    up with anything fresh you have to post. Would you make
    a list of every one of your shared sites like your twitter feed,
    Facebook page or linkedin profile?
