Robert E. Barbera

Robert E. Barbera

1941-2021

Robbie, Robert, Bob, Dad, Daddy, Pop, Granddad, Grand, The Great Grandini, GiGi…he answered to a lot of names…
Bob was many things to many people- he was a father, grandfather, great-grandfather a friend and a mentor- he was an avid sports fan! A New England fan through and through. The Patriots, the Red Sox and the Boston Bruins.
Bob was married to Linda (Pelletier) Barbera) for fifty seven years. Bob coached little league baseball in Millis, Massachusetts. When he wasn’t coaching he was standing as close to the field as he could possibly get. Bob enjoyed attending his sons Bobby and Chuck’s games. He then continued to cheer for his grandsons Nicholas in hockey and Bryan and Anthony in football.
Bob loved food and he loved to cook for family and friends. He was quick witted with a sense of humor. Bob loved to tell a story or a joke and if you knew him you had probably
heard his jokes more than once. He was excited to make
the move to Oklahoma because he was looking forward
to being able to have a college football team to root for!
In true form he said he didn’t much care for the hospice food and the one game he wanted to watch wasn’t “even” available (the Buccaneers, Tom Brady) He joked that “they might as well just take me now!”
Bob will be deeply missed by his family and his many friends~”
