    Lori and Family,
I am absolutely heartbroken with this news. Uncle Bob will always have a special place in my heart. Bob always knew how to make us smile and laugh. I have so many fond memories of him. His faith was strong and he was a proud man. A well known man to many, his memory will never be forgotten. Sending you all our Love,

  11. Sitting here, thinking of all the lives Bob touched. Thinking of his brother, sister, wife, and children. You knew him best. You are the lucky ones, to have been closer to him than any of the rest of us. By just being who he was, he set a great example of how we should all try to live our lives. Rest in peace, Cousin Bob. You showed us the true meaning of being a Christian.

  12. As Robert and Ruth’s closest neighbor growing up in want to say that the entire class of 1965 of Jefferson High School in Alexandria, Minnesota is in shock and is mourning the death of our classmate. We are all grateful that we got to see and talk to him at our reunion. Many people have mentioned his smile, his poetry and many other wonderful qualities shared by this wonderful man. We keep his entire family in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time. We especially pour our hearts out to Ruth. God bless all of you!

Our Christian relationship spanned many years as our families came and went and now, one by one, we are separated by the call of our Father in heaven. We are left to mourn your passing with the purpose in our hearts to also finish our course honorably. Those of us who have passed this way before know some of the feelings that you, the family, have at this time in your life and we send our consolations and best wishes for your time of adjustment alone. Our love!

  15. Lori and “The A,B,C’S” … I continue to think of your family as you adjust to this sudden new reality. Embrace the many joyful memories shared by those who also were “Bobbed” through the years in one way or another, and take joy in a faithful finish. Bob was a character and one of those who left a mark of remembrance on everyone he encountered. May the fellowship of friends and loved ones be a comfort to you as you walk this valley. Andrea

    NO ONE TO SAY GOODBYE
YOU WERE GONE BEFORE WE KNEW IT
    AND ONLY GOD KNOWS WHY

You have left me with so many precious memories that I will always cherish. There are also several of your words and phrases that will always have special meaning throughout the rest of my life… I’ll miss you greatly!

  18. There are simply no words… My children are the people they are today in large part because of the Helie family. Lori & Bob showed me how to be a better parent. We love you all and are grieving with you.
