Richard Olin Milner “Rick” age 66 of Edmond, OK passed away on August 31, 2013. Rick was born in Effingham, Illinois on August 3, 1947. Rick served in the Army from August 1966 to January 1969 at which time he was honorably discharged due to the death of his loving father. He ran the family business at that time as a milk distributor for Prairie Farms from 1969-1979. In 1979 he moved to Oklahoma and went to work for Shawver Electric where he worked from 1979 to present.
I only met Rick less than half a dozen times, but got to like and admire him very much. He was down to earth, straight as an arrow and had an awesome voice.
I am the husband of Phyllis Dulaney, who loved Rick deeply and has been very distraught when she heard of his death. Please accept my condolence.

Rick and I grew up in Flora , Il and were great friends. We played sports together , attended First Presbyterian church in Flora and were members of the youth organization at our church. We spent many hours playing basketball at a nearby neighbors house that had a nine feet tall basket attached to their barn. We dunked the ball like the pros and shared many good times recreating games.
Although we seldom saw each other in our adult lives, we remained good friends. When ever we did talk we recalled many good times in southern Illinois.
I will miss my friend but I know he is at peace with his Maker.

Mike went to High School with Rick and has many fond memories of those years. I, Sharon have known Rick since we were just kids and in later years visited with him often. He was so much fun to be around and such a good person. We will miss him very much. May God keep and bless you in your time of sorrow.

Rick is my close cousin, our mothers are sisters. We grew up together, he is like a brother. I am a founding member of the Rick Milner Fan Club. I hope we can honor him and carry on by showing those traits we all loved Rick for – generosity, kindness, humor, hard work, song in our hearts.
