Rebecca “Beci” Holman-Milner
July 3, 1946 – May 31, 2021
Rebecca “Beci” Holman-Milner passed away peacefully with her family by her side on May 31, 2021. She was born July 3, 1946 to Bert and Delois Holman. She grew up in Mt. Vernon, IL. Beci attended Bradley College in Peoria, IL. Her family moved to Flora, IL in 1968 where she lived until she moved to Oklahoma to raise her children, Staci and Grant in the early 80’s.
Beci had a long career in the hotel industry helping many people plan their dream events. She retired in 2001 to stay at home and watch her first grandson, Grayson. She had an in home daycare to provide a loving, safe environment for her grandchildren and many other children that were blessed by her love. Her three grandsons, Grayson, Mason and Jacob, were her pride and joy. Beci overcame tremendous adversities in her life, yet through it all she always was strong and uplifting. She was a free spirit that enjoyed art and life. She always had a smile on her face and an open door for anyone that needed anything. She got her Psychology degree later in her life so she could continue to help others.
The holidays at Beci’s house were always an amazing time. From leaving her Christmas tree up all year to the crazy Easter egg hunts for her family, it filled her heart with joy.
She is survived by her daughter, Staci and Bill Dekanich of Edmond, OK. Son, Grant and ShyAnn Milner of Edmond, OK. Grandsons, Grayson Dekanich, Mason and Jacob Milner. Sister, Patty and Jay Bailey of Mt. Vernon, IL. Brother Jon and Jill Holman of Mt. Vernon, IL. Faithful friend Dan Johnson, God-Daughter Angie Rella as well as numerous family and friends.
For all those that were blessed with Beci’s friendship knew her love.
A Celebration of Beci’s Life will be held Friday June 4th at 2:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to The Dementia Society of America at https://dementiasociety.charityproud.org/donate in memory of Beci.

That was a beautiful testimony for a very lovely woman. I know it’s hard losing a parent, but may God fill you with beautiful memories all your lives.
