The Classen Alumni web master didn’t post anything after saying Ray was ill. I am sorry for his passing. Even though we didn’t see each other often, I was a contractor and used Ray whenever I needed concrete work done. We were friends clear back to grade school at Gatewood. Marjorie and I were friends at Classen, with friends dating each other. I am so sorry for your loss. Ray was a great guy.
I just saw Ray’s obituary here almost by accident. I had no idea he had passed away. I am Ray’s cousin from his mom’s side of the family. I had known Ray from when I was very young. Ray was 3 years older than I am and I always looked up to Ray. He was a bit of a mentor when I was growing up. My parents were close to his (Sherman & Ettie) and we got together with them occasionally. I moved away from Oklahoma many years ago and wasn’t able to stay in close contact over the years. I spoke to Ray earlier this year when I called to check on him. He didn’t mention that he was ill. I’m wondering if Ray’s death was unexpected? I would like to hear from someone in his family regarding his passing. I know he had a close girlfriend after Debbie passed away. Perhaps I could hear from her just to follow up? My mobile number is 401 419 9958. I’m very sorry for the loss to Ray’s family. Ray was a very nice person. I know he is missed.
