Ralph Cullen “Pops” Thomas Sr. passed away peacefully November 6, 2014 at age 88. He was born to Arthur E. and Bessie Mae Thomas in Everman , Texas on August 1, 1926. Cullen graduated from Everman High School, then before entering the Air Force he married Mary Lou Walker and they lived in Everman, Texas. He served two years in the Air Force in Texas and Colorado being discharged in 1946.In that year Donna Joy “Joybaby” Thomas was born and he started attending Texas Christian University graduating in 1950. His three sons were born over the next 16 years. As a couple they lived in Texas, Louisana, Kansas, Colorado and Oklahoma. They left a string of loving friends in each location.
He is survived by his wife and love of his life for 70 years, Mary Lou Thomas, children Joy and Jim Ferguson of Birdstown, Tennessee, Cullen and Bonnie Thomas of Edmond, Oklahoma, Randy and Kathy Thomas of Gilbert, Arizona, and Trent and Fran Thomas, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, eleven grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren. Funeral will be held on November 10, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Road Church of Christ, Edmond, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Mathews Funeral Home Edmond, Oklahoma. In lieu of flowers the family request donations sent to the Tomasi Mission fund at the Memorial Road Church of Christ.
