Pearline A. Caldwell

Pearline Alta Ray

March 4, 1935 – May 1, 2016

Caldwell, PearlinePearline Alta Ray was born in Harmon, OK to Pearl and Geraldine Ray. She moved to Woodward as a young child. She met and married Donald B. (Bud) Caldwell, together they had 3 children; Jacklyn, Donalda & Kent.

Pearline lived in Woodward most of her young married life. She and Bud moved to Guymon for a couple of years when they first ventured in the Shoe business.

They moved to Enid shortly afterward as they were able to purchase a larger shoe store. Pearline continued to work at the shoe store as well as raise her family. Eventually they expanded their business to two stores and Pearline managed her own store.

Even though she was a great business woman, her passion in life was her family. After they sold the stores, she moved to Prague where she and Bud became Ranchers. They ranched for 16 years until they both officially “retired”.

Pearline enjoyed being with her family. She not only loved being with her children, she also greatly enjoyed her grandchildren. She loved to cook and read. Her family was her life.

She is survived by her husband Donald (Bud) Caldwell, children, Jackie & Robert Spring, Donalda Caldwell and Kent & Beverly Caldwell. Nine Grandchildren and 13 Great Grandchildren.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel. Inurnment will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Elmwood Cemetery, Woodward, OK.
