Paul Edward Savage

Paul Edward Savage

1927-2025

Paul Edward Savage, 97 of Edmond, Oklahoma died peacefully at his home on Wednesday, January 8, 2025. Paul was born in Springfield, Missouri.

Paul and his wife resided in Tulsa for many years until he moved to Edmond in 2004 to be closer to his family and grandchildren.

Paul had a patriotic passion like none other. He entered the United States Navy at a young age, serving four years as Seaman First Class in the Asiatic-Pacific area from 1944 to 1948. Paul loved serving his country so it was no surprise that Paul would be awarded the Good Conduct Medal and WWII Victory Medal.

He was a loving and dedicated husband for 67 years and had three daughters that he was quite proud of.

He was a driven businessman and an incredibly talented salesman, earning the #1 sales position numerous times at Fred Jones Ford and Wilkerson Chevrolet in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

His accomplishments had no boundaries, earning national recognition for sales achievement as the owner of Paul Savage Mobile Homes, also in Tulsa.

Paul had a passion for landscaping, and it is quite possible he purchased every tulip bulb available for purchase on Amazon. He may have very well been Amazon’s #1 customer!

He loved his glorious yard, adorned with the most magnificent trees, shrubs and flowers.

His personal home was his haven, and he would smile and whistle as he made his way around admiring the fruits of his labor. He believed in working hard, rising early, and having a daily project to do.

He embraced every day with a positive attitude even though he was bound to a motorized wheelchair each day.

Paul was preceded in death by his sister Lucille McCracken. He is survived by his wife Sally Savage, daughters Susan Savage, Debbie Pratt and husband Randy Pratt, and Sandra Bauer, all of Edmond Oklahoma. Paul also has five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  In lieu of flowers, Paul kindly asks for a donation to Tunnels to Towers to assist other veterans and their families.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 13, 2025 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edmond, Oklahoma. Public viewing and visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home. Full obituary to be posted at a later date.
