Patricia Bernadette Doherty, 80, Edmond died Friday morning, December 18th, 2015, after a long illness. Wake service and rosary will be held for Patricia at Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond at 6:00 PM Monday, December 21 with Rev. Larok Martin attending. A funeral mass will be held at 9:00 AM Tuesday, December 22 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Rev. Linh Bui presiding, followed by burial at 1:00 PM at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton.
Patricia was born March 14, 1935 in Boston, MA. She grew up in Quincy, MA and attended North Quincy High School, graduating in 1953. She married 1st Lieutenant James J. Doherty on January 2, 1955 in Wollaston, MA. Patricia was a homemaker and member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Edmond.
Survivors include her husband of 60 years, LTC (retired) “Deacon Jim” Doherty; daughter Sheila Marie Duhon of The Woodlands, TX; son James J. Doherty Jr. of Edmond; brother Terence M. Campbell of Massachusetts; sister Sr. Letitia Ann Campbell of Kentucky, Eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, one brother, one son and one grandchild.
