Patricia Ann McKinley

1947-2021

On Thursday, January 28, 2021 Patricia Ann McKinley, loving wife and mother of four, passed away peacefully in her home, at age 73.  She was surrounded by her loved ones.

Patsy was born on August 13, 1947 in Salt Lake City, UT to James and Edna Park.  She spent her childhood growing up in Oakland, California.  She received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, majoring in speech and drama.  She went on to become a certified teacher in the state of California.  On January 29, 1972, Patsy married Dennis Wayne McKinley in the LDS temple in Oakland, California.  Together they raised 3 sons, Ryan, Scott and Cameron and one daughter, Nicole.

Patsy had a love of reading.  She also enjoyed sewing and making clothes for herself and loved ones.  She devoted herself to serving others.  As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints she served in many different leadership positions.  She offered her time and energy as a councilor in the Relief Society as well as the Primary for her church.  These callings gave her the opportunity to practice unconditional love to hundreds of people in her lifetime.  Patsy was a selfless giver and would sacrifice her own needs if it gave her the opportunity to serve others and practice Christ like love.

She was preceded in death by her father, James, and her mother, Edna.  Patsy is survived by her husband Dennis, her sons Ryan, Scott and Cameron and her daughter Nicole and her brother James Daniel Park.   She was the loving grandmother to 9 beautiful grandchildren, Kyle, Taylor, Anna, Tori, Stone, Asher, Jasper, Arya and Daphne.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 5, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Edmond, OK with interment to follow at Arcadia IOOF Cemetery.
