October 26, 1956 – November 26, 2024
Orville Glen Woodall Jr., 68, of Guthrie, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2024. Born on October 26, 1956, in Edmond, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother,
A lifelong lover of Harley-Davidsons, Orville embraced the freedom of the open road and the camaraderie of the biker community. He wasn’t just a motorcycle enthusiast—he was a true “road warrior” with a love for adventure and a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life.
Orville never met a stranger. Whether striking up conversations with a neighbor, offering a helping hand to someone in need, or meeting new faces on his many rides, he had an effortless way of making connections. If he didn’t know someone personally, he likely knew a friend or family member of theirs. His warmth and generosity were as boundless as his passion for life.
Orville proudly worked as a licensed plumber for over 30 years, sharing his expertise and passion by mentoring countless apprentices. He found joy in teaching and took pride in shaping the next generation of skilled tradespeople.
Known for his strength and resilience, Orville was a 30-year cancer survivor who faced life’s challenges with courage and a sense of humor.
Orville’s greatest love story began 49 years ago when he met Sheri, the love of his life. The two were married on Valentine’s Day in 1976 and spent 48 years devoted to one another. Together, they raised two sons, Zechariah and Jeremiah, instilling in them the values of integrity, hard work, and compassion.
Orville’s love for his family extended to his role as a doting grandfather to Jayce, Gage, and Hunter. He treasured his time with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories filled with laughter, love, and lessons only a grandfather could impart.
Orville was preceded in death by his mother Mary Perry, stepfather Russell Perry, father Orville Glen Sr. (“Bad Bones”), brothers Mike and Calvin, sister Renee and cousin Kathy Cook, who was raised like his sister.
Left to cherish and carry on his memory are his beloved wife Sheri Woodall; his sons Zechariah Woodall and wife Emily, and Jeremiah Woodall and wife Sherre; his grandchildren Jayce, Gage, and Hunter; his brother James Perry; his niece Danielle Dillon and her husband Brian; his cousins Johnny Ray Bohach and Dan Woodall and wife Emma and a host of extended family members, friends, and apprentices who looked up to him as a mentor and role model.
Orville will be remembered for his strength, humor, and unwavering devotion to those he loved. He had a remarkable ability to connect with others, leaving a lasting impression on everyone whose lives he touched.
A viewing will be held at Matthews Funeral Home in Edmond on Monday, December 2, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, with a Celebration of Life service to be held at a later date.
