Oeta Cox
1922-2017
Born August 19th, 1922 in Poteau, Oklahoma passed January 7, 2017 at OU Medical Hospital, Edmond, Oklahoma. Preceded in death by husband Thomas Cox, son Larry Ford and daughters Glenna Gentry and Debbie Bishop.
Survived by daughter Carolyn Flewelling of Edmond, Oklahoma, sons Grover Ford of Edmond, Oklahoma and Robert Powell of Seattle, Washington. Also: Grandchildren Steve Flewelling, Kim Dennis, Julie Armistead, Carrie Pullin, Greg Ford, Sheri Lewin, Kathy Roberts, John Gentry, Robert Gentry, Joanna French, Leanna Foster plus 17 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was a lifetime homemaker and longtime resident of Oklahoma City, Okemah, Oklahoma and Edmond, Oklahoma. She enjoyed very much her grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s school and sporting activities. She was active in several churches in Oklahoma City and Okemah, Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held Monday, January 9, 2017 from 3pm – 8pm and Tuesday, January 10, 2017 from 8am – 8pm at Matthews Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held 10 am, Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery.
