Nathanael Charles Reece passed away on December 5, 2018 in Stillwater, OK. He was born January 8, 1995 in Oklahoma City to Don and Denise Reece. He was the youngest of four children. The family lived in Yukon, OK and Des Moines, IA before moving to San Antonio, TX where Nathan graduated from Ronald Reagan HS in 2013. He attended the University of Evansville before moving back to Oklahoma.

Nathan had amazing creative gifts, including music, songwriting, and media production. His gentle and loving heart was evident to all. His smile, laugh and sense of humor brought much joy.

Grieving family include his parents and siblings Rebekah, David and Noah Reece; grandparents Dr. C. Herman Reece and John and Jean Kidd; multiple aunts, uncles and cousins; and ‘adopted aunt’ Jenny Keating. He is preceded in death by his grandmother Mareita Reece.

In our grief, we celebrate his life. His smile. His laugh. His music. His heart. The family plans a private memorial gathering. Condolences may be sent to Matthews Funeral Home of Edmond.

  1. Dear Reece family ,

What an incredible loss! I am so sorry to hear of this so unexpectedly. I can only imagine how overwhelming the emotions are and raw.
Comfort can be found in a few scriptures if I could share with,
John 11:11 brings out that your dear Nathanael is sleeping in death and will be awaken when he hears Gods voice call him out.
And soon did you know that death will not be anymore. Revelation 21:3,4 comforts and tells us that death will be no more nor mourning nor outcry.
I hope that the thought of never having to endure this pain again and that you will see him again can help lessen your grief some.
There is a whole magazine that tells if all of the steps to help those who are grieving on JW.ORG.
It is entitled “Help for those who Grieve”.
