Nancy Jayne Cordray, born November 22, 1953 in Los Angeles, CA. Passed away September 29, 2020 in Oklahoma City with family surrounding her as she passed. She graduated from Western Heights High School and grew up in Wheatland, OK. Married Rickey Lee Cordray in 1981. Her children and her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She also loved sewing, cooking, gambling with Rickey and being with family.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Rickey Lee Cordray. Parents, Ronald Eugene Long and Molly Reynolds. Grandmother Maye Gentry. Brother Ronald “Lil-Gene” Long. Father-in-law Curtis Cordray. And Grandson Jesse Cordray Jr.

She is survived by her son Heath Jones (Thea) of Ft. Worth, TX. Nealy Thomas of Branson, MO. Amanda Bruschi of Edmond, OK. Derek Cordray (Brittany) of Jones, OK. And Jesse Cordray (Katelyn) of Jones, OK. Mother-in-law Beverly Cordray of Edmond, OK. Her sisters Phyllis Blasing of Lena, IL. Rhonda Gentry of Bethany, OK. Brenda Wray of Watonga, OK. Lisa Avila of Guthrie, OK. And brother Timothy Long (Carol) of Burbank, CA. Grandkids Kayli, Lilli, Owen, Allison, Madi, Rylinn, Meryk, Maddyn, Lynnox, Charlotte, and Shelby. Along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel Edmond, OK. A visitation is scheduled for 12:00-8:00pm, Saturday, October 5 with family present from 5-7 p.m. at Matthews Funeral Home Chapel Edmond, OK.

  2. Farewell to my cousin. I wish I had known you better, but you were and are an inspiration to me. I have prayed that you see your second cousin, my daughter Shari, who went ahead to heaven recently and will welcome you there, free of pain.
