1927-2013

Nancy Bennett of Okla. City passed away April 11, 2013 at Epworth Villa.  She was born Sept. 26, 1927 to Leonard and Mary Clement in Des Moines, Iowa.   She grew up in Fayette, Iowa and lived there until moving to Okla. to attend college at Okla. City Univ.

Nancy taught math at Putnam City Central Jr. High until her retirement.    Nancy is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Jack Bennett.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, John and Cindy Bennett of Fort Mill, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Joseph Leonard of Edmond, OK; son Robert Bennett of Okla. City, OK.  Nancy is also survived by grandson, David Garrett of Edmond, OK; grandson and wife, Daniel and Ashley Garrett of Castle Pines, CO.; Kristin and Kevin Winterrowd of Yukon, OK and great-grandchildren Rachel Glover, Andrew and Paul Winterrowd of Yukon, OK.

Nancy was a member of Quail Springs Baptist Church, Okla. City.  Services will be held at Epworth Villa Brill Chapel on April 18 at 10:00 a.m. in Okla. City.  Burial will precede service at Memorial Park Cemetery at 9:00 a.m..

Formal visitation will be 6-8 p.m. on April 17 at Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond.
