Monica R. Heck

1956 – 2019Heck, Monica

On June 30, 2019, Monica Heck of Edmond Oklahoma, passed peacefully at the age of 63. Monica Rochelle Heck was born January 3, 1956, to Edward Heck and Helen Fisher in San Jose, California. After school, Monica went to work in her family’s business and immersed herself in various computer programming languages. Monica was a talented programmer, a spirited entrepreneur, a loving mother, and enjoyed crafting and custom quilting. In her spare time, Monica could always be found in her sewing room working diligently on her next home project. Monica also enjoyed spending time with her loving Papillon, the Black Hills of South Dakota, and cherished spending time with her family above all else.

Monica was preceded in death by her father, Ed, her mother, Virginia, and her brother, Tom. She is survived by her son, Christopher. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for her during her last years.

A graveside service will be held at Rolston Cemetery near Bernice, Ok on Friday, July 5 at 1:00 P.M.

    Chris & Leigh,

Some of the most memorable years of not only my life but my children’s lives were spent with Monica. She always made holidays and special occasions so special for us all and put such perfected touches on everything she did, from baking to crafting. I really cherish every one of these memories From childhood to adulthood that were spent with her. We Love you both and please know our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.

  3. Chris and Leigh,

I’m having a hard time finding the words to express the sorrow for the loss of your Mom Monica. I met her at your wedding and we had a nice conversation. One thing I am certain of is that she adored you.

May God welcome her with open arms in the faith she obviously had.

Wish we could mourn with you in person but know we are from afar.

    With all of our love,

    Joan, Rob and Carly

  4. Monica was loving and selfless. A strong woman who put others before herself. The picture shows her wonderful smile, a smile unchanged into
our visit, last August. A trusting faith, with a wary eye she had. She would
do anything for her son Chris, and embraced my daughter Leigh, the same.

She would always say what a blessing they were. Monica, it was we who were blessed.
