Mildred Dellenbaugh Wilson, 94, passed through heaven’s gate on April 12, 2017. She was born on September 17, 1922 in Van, TX to Edd and Retha Clay. Mildred married Ernest Dellenbaugh in Brownfield, TX on February 6, 1941. She was a cheerleader in high school when they met. They moved to Edmond, OK shortly after. She was a devoted housewife until her kids were all grown and gone, but she always reminded them that they could always come home.
In 1968, she got her first job at McCalls Mens Store in Edmond. She was a men’s tailor and quilter. Her other interest included running an antique shop in Creede, CO in the summertime. She really loved Creede and the people in it.
She spent her later years worrying about her kids. She never stopped thinking of them or trying to help. Her friends in the Nazarene Church and the Lord were her saving grace.
