Mildred married Ernest Dellenbaugh in Brownfield, TX on February 6, 1941. She was a cheerleader in high school when they met. They moved to Edmond, OK shortly after. She was a devoted housewife until her kids were all grown and gone, but she always reminded them that they could always come home.

She spent her later years worrying about her kids. She never stopped thinking of them or trying to help. Her friends in the Nazarene Church and the Lord were her saving grace.
