Michael Joseph Stephen Shaw
1934-2016
Michael Joseph Stephen Shaw, passed away Friday May 13 th , 2016. Born August 18 th 1934 in Okmulgee Oklahoma to Lewis & Marie (Gormley) Shaw. He graduated from Bishop McGuiness High School and then proudly served in the Korean War. Michael retired from America Greetings Corp. in 1993. Dad had a wide range of interests from fixing lawn mowers, building go carts, restoring classic cars, to earning his pilot's license. He could fix anything and was happiest when his garage was full of neighborhood kids he could teach. One of his favorite students was Eddie Smith.
He is preceded in death by wife Judith Ann and grandson Daniel. He is survived by sisters, Ann Michal (James) and Mary Coletta Hanneman (Bing); daughters, Michele Hammond and Mary Morrow (Jimmy); grandchildren, Stephanie Martin (Brian), Michael R.C. Smith (Kristen), Buster Morrow, Timothy Hammond (Madi), Merideth Hammond (Sam), Paige Herrera (Ian), Nathan Hammond, and Isabella Morrow; great grandchildren, Payton, Hudson, Cayson, Archer and Westley.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday May 18 th 2016 at 2:00pm Resurrection Cemetery Chapel 7801 NW Expressway, OKC. Services under direction of Matthews Funeral Home, Edmond, OK.
